What We Were Solving

The Core Problem
Previous agency built a site that needed a developer for every text change. Updates cost R500 each and the site went months without fresh content because every change required external help.

How We Built It

Custom Divi child theme with visual editing, global modules, pre-built templates, and comprehensive training. Client manages all content updates independently.

The Challenge

A growing services company needed a professional website but had been burned before. Their previous agency built a site that looked good but required a developer for every text change. They were paying R500 per update just to fix a phone number or add a staff member. The site went months without updates because every change had a cost attached.

Our Approach

We built a custom Divi child theme designed specifically for self-management. Every section uses Divi modules that the client can edit visually. Global elements like headers, footers, and CTAs update across the entire site from one place. We documented every editable section with screenshots and screen recordings.

The Solution

  • Custom Divi child theme with locked layout sections and editable content areas
  • Global modules for header, footer, testimonials, and team sections
  • Pre-built page templates for adding new service pages without design skills
  • Image upload guidelines with automatic compression via plugin
  • 90-minute hands-on training session recorded for future reference
  • Written documentation covering every common update task

Results

The client has made over 40 content updates in the three months since launch without contacting us once. They added two new service pages, updated their team section, published blog posts, and changed seasonal promotions — all on their own. Support tickets dropped to zero for routine content changes.
