What We Were Solving
How We Built It
Built branded monthly reporting from scratch pulling from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Bing Webmaster Tools including Bing AI citations. Identified 2 unindexed pages and set clear growth targets around non-branded keywords in the lifting and heavy transport space.ALS International is an Australian crane hire, heavy lift, and engineering company. They came to us on a basic SEO package at R600/month. No existing reporting, no tracking baselines, and a Divi site that had not been touched from an SEO perspective.
The first job was building a reporting setup from nothing.
What the report looks like
We produce a branded HTML report each month and convert it to PDF. The format pulls data from three sources: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Bing Webmaster Tools. Each section is structured to show the client what matters without drowning them in numbers they do not understand.
This month we also added Bing AI performance tracking to the report. ALS International picked up 7 Bing AI citations in the first three months tracked, which is worth watching as AI search continues to grow.
Where things stand after the first period
The April 2026 numbers tell a clear story: this is an early-stage SEO engagement with a site that is almost entirely dependent on branded search.
Bing AI is citing the ALS International site in AI-generated answers. This number is worth tracking monthly as AI search grows.
The 11.2% CTR on Google is strong for a site sitting at position 22.7. It tells us people searching for ALS International by name are clicking through. That is good for branded traffic, but 89% of sessions coming via direct means the site is not pulling in people who do not already know the company exists.
That is the real starting point.
Two pages not indexed
Google Search Console flagged 2 pages as Discovered but not indexed. That is one of the first action items, because you cannot rank pages Google has not crawled. We are working through the fix this month via URL inspection and resubmission in GSC.
What we are working on
Four focus areas came out of the April report:
- Fix the two unindexed pages via GSC
- Move average position from 22.7 toward a top 10 target on key terms
- Start building non-branded keyword rankings around heavy haul and oversized cargo
- Track Bing AI citation growth month on month
The non-branded keywords are the longer play. Terms like heavy lift crane hire and oversized cargo transport have real search volume from buyers who do not know ALS International yet. Getting the site appearing for those terms is what turns organic into a real acquisition channel.
On reporting as a product
One thing this engagement reinforced is that a good monthly report is a product in itself. The format we built for ALS International now serves as the base template for any client on a basic package. Consistent structure, real data from GSC and GA, and action items the client can actually act on.
A site with 13 organic clicks over 3 months is not impressive. What matters is that the client can see exactly where they are, and we have a clear record of what we are measuring against next month.
