What We Were Solving
How We Built It
Custom Divi child theme with visual editing, global modules, pre-built templates, and a recorded training session for complete self-management.What They Needed
A growing services company needed a professional website but they'd been burned before. Their previous agency built a site that looked good but required a developer for every text change. Even fixing a phone number or adding a staff member came with a cost. The site went months without updates because every change meant picking up the phone and waiting.
They wanted a site they could actually manage themselves without technical knowledge and without calling anyone.
What We Built
We built a custom Divi child theme designed specifically for self-management. Every section uses Divi modules that the client can edit visually, so they see exactly what the page will look like while they're making changes. Global elements like headers, footers, and calls to action update across the entire site from one place.
We created pre-built page templates so they can add new service pages without any design skills. Image uploads include automatic compression via a plugin so they don't need to worry about file sizes slowing down the site. We documented every editable section with screenshots and screen recordings.
Then we ran a 90-minute hands-on training session where the person who actually updates the site learned to do it on their own content. We recorded the session so they can reference it any time.
How It Turned Out
The client has made over 40 content updates in the three months since launch without contacting us once. They've added new service pages, updated their team section, published blog posts, and changed seasonal promotions, all on their own. Support tickets for routine content changes dropped to zero. That's exactly what a well-built website should deliver: independence.
